Day 3 Tension mounts in Peru
The day started with Paddy Daniel & Harry Timson in heat 2 of the 2nd round of the under 16′s . Harry surfed a great heat to take first place and to progress to round 3. Paddy surfed well but well but couldn’t find the scores and got knocked in the 2nd round of the reps. Miles was next in the water in heat 9, Miles had a hard heat against a Tahitian and South African and got knocked in the reps with Australian surfer Mitchell Parkinson. Jobe was the last of the under 16′s to hit the water and to secure another win for team GB in heat 12, replaying some of his strong surfing ability.
At noon saw the start of the girls round 2 with Jaide Lowe being first up in heat 1, Jaide put in a great effort but unfortunately got knocked into the girls rep 2 along with Tassy Swallow’s heat 3 & Gabi Rowe heat 9 who both had hard heats against Australia, Peru and Tahiti. Both girls struggled to find the waves to showcase their surfing potential. The last heat of the day saw Laura Crane progress out of the girls rep 1 into rep 2 for tomorrow.
